Like it or not, this character is bound to seek you out during your 3 month period spent attending class. Whether it be in the parking lot, the walk to class, or standing at the urinal, they will be more than eager to see how life has been treatin' ya?

2.) Ice Breakers

Come prepared to address to the class your name, your major, why you chose to take this class, and at least one interesting fact about yourself.

3.) Texting a friend on your extended break and never getting a reply.

Sometimes the break between class can be excruciatingly long and boring. These times are much more lively when spent with a friend.. But when you shoot a friend a text stating "you on campus?" you never get a reply. Minutes, hours, and days go by without a text back and you begin to think "Hey, maybe he just missed my text" Only later to view their Facebook status update: "on break at school, boreeeed." posted the same time as your text.

1.) The Apprentice - This photo depicts a former inmate showing his scrawny acolyte how to properly throw blows when engaged in a jail fight. This carried on throughout most of the night.

2.) "Take a drag, man" - The infamous photo of Josh Murphy violently exhaling a drag off someone's cigarette. I'm almost positive that this is the reason why Murphy quit 303.

A Mike Katz Story: We used to be friends.

Where do I begin. Mike Katz. Friendship at first sight? A little queer but true. I met Mike in December of '04, prior to physical meeting, I knew him as the guy who would poke fun of any female who would leave a "comment" on my MYSPACE page. Yes, hesitant to befriend when we met IN PERSON, I would later get to know him, his witty humor, and his notable backside flips.

Mike's house was my go to "crash pad" in Boulder from '04'-Early '06. It had everything you could want after a night of inebriation. A plentiful stock of Minute-Maid-Limeade, The New Guy, a Trampoline, and a godly, intimidating Father. Me, Katz, and his partner in crime, Jake "The Yabo" Reed, would live it up in those years..

The years were fun.. It wasn't until Summer '08 when I started to notice things were changing... for the worst. It started at an art show being held at Meta Skateshop. Mike would team up with Longmont Local/Nice guy Ryan Simpson, to show off their musical talent. Performing a few songs for "fun." I didn't think much of it..

A year goes by..

Katz and Simpson are now iconic, networking website heartthrob/superstars.

This once unorganized duo of self-proclaimed "musicians" doing it for "fun," has now evolved into COCONUT BEACH. Growing in Facebook popularity with hit songs such as "I'm Gone" and "Pray to be Saved." Fame has descended down to the level of Mike Katz and as it grows, our friendship diminishes. I call and all I get is "Mike Katz, Leave a message." He'll call and all I hear is "Do you know where I can score some herb?" I'll see him at the bar and he'll walk right pass me only to squirm into a booth with the members of 3OH!3. A life lesson to be addressed: No matter how close the bond of a friendship is, Ryan Simpson can change that.

Bring back the old Mike Katz..

WHY CAPITOL HILL SUCKS

Recently moved out of the folks' house? ready to party? Then Capitol Hill is the place to be, but over the years, I have come to the conclusion that Capitol Hill sucks. Why is this..

1.) Bed Bugs

For years I thought bed bugs was a Myth that Stoots made up, somewhat like Mike Katz's troubled heel, but then I started to notice others start complaining about this mythological parasite. So I typed my old capitol hill estate into bedbugregistry.com; no bed bugs there.. but the little buggers seemed to be everywhere else. GOOD LUCK!

2.) The Streets of London Pub

Its in Capitol Hill and it sucks.

3.) Art Institute Kids

Okay, we get it man.. your good at painting.

4.) Your car is going to get fucked with

Surprisingly, there are an odd bunch of people who don't ride a fix gear or vespa in C-Hill. Unfortunately, that bunch are the ones that suffer. If you have a car in that neighborhood.. there is a 113% chance it will get fucked with. Whether it be tagged on by the "RTD" crew, broken into, keyed, or sideswiped due to the annoyingly narrow streets.

5.) Buffalo Exchange

The only place you can walk in with $173 worth of product to sell and walk out with $9, followed by the clerk-chick saying "Hey hun, it buys you lunch! Hehe"

The breakdance battle got a little out of hand between Pyro and I, but in the end, we just laughed and shook hands.

While this all unravelled, Finholm was up at the bar arguing about the new head coach of the Broncos with some lady who didn't seem a bit interested.

LAST MINUTE MOTHERS DAY GIFT?

1.) WAKING NED DEVINE

I've watched this movie about 4.25 times with my mom and still don't know what its about, but she loved it.

Dogs, little to no curse words, and a guy with two left feet.. Everything a mom could love is summed up in this "wacky!" comedy. She'll love it.

3.) MY BIG FAT GREEK WEDDING

I don't know what it is about this movie but Moms LOVE it. I have not seen it but whatever occurs in the 95 minute running time will have your mom in hysteria and also have her explaining to you how "Its exactly like that!"

Even though Mike Katz and I are possibly the only two humans to have purchased "The New Guy" (his sister could have actually been the one who bought it), DJ Qualls's transformation from Dizzy Harrison to Gill Harris wasn't necessarily a change from a "dork-to-cool guy" but actually from "dork-to-dork who wears a jean jacket." Although I do recommend you buy this movie.
